Akron / 1/2 mile wood oval (9/06/26 - 9/28/30) / turns were banked 45 degrees / built by Paul Turtin / track was located 7 miles north of Akron / 30 miles south of Cleveland / ran only one AAA Nat'l Championship race (6/22/30) won bt Shorty Cantlon / during the Great Depression the wood track completely vanished within five years / it was stolen piece by piece and used for building or was burned as heat in nearby homes / the track was actually in Northampton Township (since incorporated into Akron)
Cincinnati Motor Speedway
Cincinnati (Sharonville) / 2.0 mile wood oval (9/04/16 - 10/12/19) / turns were banked 17 degrees / built by Harry Hake / rumored 65,000 fans at 5/30/17 race / the track was a near exact copy of the Chicago board track / last event was a 48 hour endurance run for Essex autos in December, 1919 / the site is currently a U.S. Post Office among other businesses / the track was dismantled and the lumber was shipped to Chillicothe to be used in the construction of Camp Sherman during World War I
