Tacoma / located seven miles south of town / 2.0 mile plank (wood) oval (7/04/15 - 7/04/22) / turns were banked 21 degrees / Dave Lewis turned 100 mph plus in an exhibition run on 5/24/15 / Billy Carlson and his riding mechanic were fatally injured 7/04/15 / the track was planned to have liquid asphalt placed over the planks, as the 2x4 boards were laid flat with 3/8" gaps between them to allow the asphalt to flow between them / the site became an airport in 1935 / now site of a vocational school
