SPEEDWAY PRICES HERE AS COMPARED WITH OTHER MEETS

Management Declares They Are Cheaper and Submits Figures to Prove It - What Charts Show.

The Des Moines Speedway is selling but four tickets for the race on August 7. There is a $2 general admission ticket good to all parts of the paddock. There is a $3 ticket which entitles the holder to admission and a reserved seat in the grandstand. There is a $4 ticket which entitles the holder to a reserved seat in box and a general admission. There is a $4 ticket which entltiles the holder to general admission and a parking space for automobile.

Additional passengers in auto are required to hold the general admission ticket only.

A chart sheet and and reservation plat of the Sioux City track shows a gate ticket at $1 for general admission to the strip bordering the back stretch. But this chart also shows exchange gates requiring the payment of additional fees at 50 cents each up to $1 to permit a person on foot to pass thru to the next to the start and finish. This sheet states that grandstand seats are $2 each and box seats $5 each and that these prices do not include admissions.

Des Moines grandstand seats are priced $1 less for grandstand seats and $3 less for box seats. This chart shows that there is a free space for parking autos, but it is along the back stretch. Prices for auto parking spaces that are at all desirable are shown by this plat to be from $2 to $10 per machine and it is stated on the Sioux City sheet that the prices do not include admissions.

These prices are worthy of comparison with the flat price of $4 for all parking spaces on the Des Moines track this price including general admission for one person.

Omaha Prices.

At Omaha all box seats were held at $7, including admission, a price $3 higher than charged in Des Moines. At Omaha grandstand seats ranged from $3, the price charged in Des Moines, to $5, and there were but two $3 sections at Omaha.

Automobile parking spaces at Omaha ranged from $5 to $10 and according to the plat of the Omaha Speedway, these prices did not include admissions. At Omaha there was a $1 gate to the back stretch but to go to the start and finish stretch the general admission price was $2.

At Chicago the lowest grandstand seat was $5 and these ranged in price up to $8. The plat of the Chicago speedway shows that these prices and all other prices quoted here did not include an added $2 admission fee. Box seats in front of grandstand cost $10 each with some box seats as low as $8, not including admission while club house boxes were charged for at the rate of $25 a seat or $150 for any single box.

Auto parking spaces ranged from $5 on the back stretch of a two-mile track, down thru a $10 price in the turns to $15 along the start and finsih stretch and these prices did not include an admission.
