FOREIGN CARS ARE THE LATEST TO ENTER RACE
Secretary Orloff of the Des Moines Speedway association announces two foreign drivers as the latest entrants for the big auto race that will be held here June 26. They are J. Christiance and Frank Galvin, both will drive Sunbeams.
The new entrants bring the total number signed to date to 12. Orloff Sunday was expected to hold a final conference with Ralph DePalma and Dario Resta and indications still are they may be here to participate in the meet.
Autoist dope the past few days has been chiefly confined to a probable meeting between Mulford and DePalma to settle a race the outcome of which is doubtful in the eyes of some.
Fred Wagner, official starter for the American Automobile association, and Richard Kennerdell, chairman of the contest board will be prominent among the visiting auto notables for the race.
A meeting of the speedway officials is expected to be held this week when final arrangements for the big events will be made.
