NINETEEN DRIVERS TO DRIVE IN BIG EVENT

On Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, twelve of the foremost automobile racers in the United States and Europe will start on the first lap of a 150 mile grind in the second international sweepstakes race held under the auspices of the Des Moines Speedway Association.

All arrangements for the big event - the biggest automobile racing meet in the history of Iowa automobile racing - have been completed. The stage is set. The drivers are here. The eliminations are now in progress and the final entry list will be given the flag on Saturday by Fred Wagner, official starter for the American Automobile Association.
