SPEED KINGS ARRIVE HERE FOR BIG RACE

Billy Chandler, one of the leading auto racers in the game today, and his mechanician, Lewis, arrived here this morning for the special 150 mile sweepstakes which will be held on the local Speedway this coming Saturday.

Ralph DePalam, who raced with D. Resta in a special match race at Chicago yesterday, is expected to arrive here early Tuesday.

Ralph Mulford, winner of last year's 300 mile grind, wired the Des Moines Speedway this morning that the changing of the date is satisfactory to him. He also wired that he again expects to win the race this coming Saturday.

Eddie Rickenbacher, captain of the Maxwell racing team, took a few laps yesterday afternoon on the local circular track and averaged ninety-seven miles an hour.
